The Jesus And The Carpenter

Jesus is walking around heaven when he comes across an old, wizened man crying. Jesus approaches him and says, “What is there to cry about in Heaven, friend?”

The old man looks at him and says, “You don’t understand. I was a carpenter in a small town. I had a son once, but I lost him. He wasn’t like any other boy; he was very special. And he left me one day, never to return. I’ve been looking for him ever since. I’ll know him when I see him, though, by the holes in his hands and feet.”

Jesus, feeling a little lump in his throat, leans close and says, “Father?”

Awestruck, the old man replies, “Pinocchio?”
